2017 No Lost Generation (NLG) EdTech Summit
Supporting Children Impacted by the Syrian Crisis

Role: Conference facilitator leading ideation sessions, speaker for 'Design Thinking' presentation, and co-judge for the competition seed funding awards (total value of $210,000).
Focus: Bringing together innovators from private, public and development sectors to showcase and brainstorm tech-based solutions for education challenges caused by the crisis in Syria. The Summit was part of the NLG Initiative that supports children and youth impacted by the crisis, covering Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt.
Organizers: Lead by UNICEF and co-lead by World Vision, Save the Children and Mercy Corps. Partners and sponsors include Startupboat, USAID, NetHope, Google, Microsoft, Pearson, Cisco, IRC, NRC, UNHCR, US Department of State and more.

Role: Co-speaker for both SXSW German Haus and SXSW Social Impact Track discussion panels. 
Focus: The refugee crisis, practical projects, ideas, visions and how technology and communities can be used to create solutions for the greater good.
