During my career as a design consultant, I’ve worked with organizations ranging from large corporations to state governments using a human-centered design approach to create innovative products and services at the heart of user needs. My industry experiences include: Healthcare, Financial Services, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing Services, Advertising, Government Health and Public Services, and Information Technology (IVR).
Prior to joining FJORD, I conducted ethnographic research at a refugee camp in Greece to help inform design decisions for NGOs, corporations, and startups during the Syrian refugee and migration crisis in 2016-2017. My background in designing for a global context has not only equipped me with a comprehensive perspective, but has also engendered cultural sensitivity and respect. I received a B.I.D. in Industrial and Interaction Design from Syracuse University.

DESIGN RESEARCH
+ My research ensures that the work I deliver is grounded in a deep and contextual understanding of what matters to the people I am designing for.
+ I oversee user research plans including recruiting processes, scheduling and logistics, interview guides, tools, and research synthesis.
+ I utilize a variety of methods including in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, usability testing, and competitive analyses.
+ I use actionable research insights to identify design opportunities and to define concepts, personas, mindsets, north star visions, and guiding principles.
SERVICE DESIGN & STRATEGY
+ I create the strategy for services that encompasses the before, during, and after of a product interaction to produce experiences at a holistic level.
+ I collaborate with Stakeholders, Product Owners, and Business Leads to build feasible roadmaps that realize the future state vision, including the back stage support mechanisms (internal teams, processes, tools) that enable the front stage user experience.
+ Outputs are in the form of service blueprints, journey maps, roadmaps, process flows, north star visions, and guiding principles.
INTERACTION DESIGN
+ I solve design problems end-to-end, from identifying user needs, generating concepts to building digital interfaces and crafting how users will interact with it.
+ I develop design concepts based on business, technical and design considerations and communicate them through various artifacts such as wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and interaction models. With a focus on iteratively creating and refining designs, I conduct A/B testing to validate design decisions.
+ Collaborating with Design Ops, I establish scalable and sustainable design systems in Figma or Sketch. I also work closely with Dev/Implementation Teams to ensure designs are feasible and translated 1:1 in final production.
